We provide a personalised journey for each client
Although Arc’s core service is to accommodate homeless people, what we do is so much more than just that. We understand that homelessness is more than being without a home, and can come with many other difficulties that have either led to homelessness or resulted from being homeless.
Our clients come from all different backgrounds with different stories. That’s why offering a personalised approach is so important, to ensure we can help each individual with their specific support needs. We work with clients to take them through a journey that they choose – whether that’s to learn to live independently, to fight an addiction or to secure employment and find a home of their own.
Each client has a designated support worker to help them with their journey, assisting with anything from setting up benefits they’re entitled to, referring them to other support services, getting them involved with our Arc Life Skills or assisting them to find volunteering or job opportunities.
Through our very own in-house academy
, Arc offers free activities and courses as well as life skills workshops to assist clients move forwards, learn new skills and build their self-confidence. We offer life skills sessions such as cooking a basic meal, basic hygiene or setting up an email account. Our academy courses and activities include gardening, baking, wild learning and much more!
This transition work helps our clients move through our services smoothly and enables them to become independent and withhold a tenancy.
By concentrating on the client and what they want, as well as looking at the positives with them, rather than focusing on what’s wrong within their life, we hope to provide a journey that will assist our clients with more than just their housing situation.
