Celebrating 50 Years: Building Better Futures - Join us to help end homelessness in Somerset. 

2026 marks our 50th year of supporting people affected by homelessness and housing insecurity across Somerset, helping bring about change through compassion, understanding, and action. Since 1976, we’ve helped thousands of people find safety, stability, and a place to call home. 

As we mark this milestone, we are strengthening our commitment to listen to voices with lived experience, deepen understanding of homelessness, and inspire our community and partners to do more together. 

Throughout our anniversary year, we will be celebrating our legacy while shining a light on the work that still needs to be done locally. We’ve designed a programme that aims to challenge stigma, inspire collective action, and strengthen partnerships, helping to ensure homelessness in Somerset becomes a thing of the past.

We’re celebrating 50 years of hope, housing, and dignity, and there are plenty of ways for you to get involved: 

• 50 Stories for 50 Years – share your story and be part of the journey.  

• Arc in the Park & Big Sleep Out – join our flagship community event on Saturday 13th June at Taunton Rugby Club.  

• 50 Miles for 50 Years – take on our anniversary challenge and walk, run, or move to help change lives.  

• 50 Corporate Champions for Change – partner with us to make a tangible difference and support someone rebuilding their life.  

• Education & Outreach Sessions – perfect for schools, workplaces, and community groups wanting to learn more and take-action.  

While we celebrate our achievements, the reality is that homelessness still affects many people in Somerset. That’s why our focus remains on providing affordable homes, tailored support, and working together to prevent homelessness and drive lasting change.
