Cooking 'Teacher' for breakfasts Volunteer

We are looking for two volunteers who can come in on Friday mornings from 10am and show clients how to cook a range of breakfasts.

Job description:

Part of what Arc do is assist clients to gain independence by teaching them new skills. Being able to cook a meal for yourself is a huge part of that independence and will help clients move on into their own accommodation and be able to lead a healthy lifestyle.

We already hold a class that teaches clients how to cook an evening meal. We are interested in introducing a class where clients can learn how to cook and/or prepare a range of different breakfasts.

These classes also enable clients to get together and socialise, build confidence and work as a team.

We would like to hold our Breakfast Classes on Fridays at 10am. We are looking for 2 volunteers to run these.

Volunteers do not need to have qualifications in cooking / catering - it could just be a skill / hobby or interest. Volunteers will have to acquire a Food and Hygeine Certificate. Arc will assist with this.

To apply please download the volunteer application and send it back to Steve Atkinson using the details below. You can also contact Steve for further information.
